Capturizer is currently in BETA. The current installable BETA is good for 30 days. During the BETA period, the app reports successful and unsuccessful transfer attempts back to Capturizer so we can troubleshoot failures and improve site support.

Successful and unsuccessful transfer feedback is required during BETA, including source URLs, selected outputs, app version, template version, and non-secret diagnostics.

BETA notes

The current installable BETA is good for 30 days.
Success and failure transfer reports are required during BETA.
Runs locally as an installable Windows app with Start Menu entries.
Setup requires agreement to the BETA legal disclaimer and acceptable-use terms.
Windows may show a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen message that says "Windows protected your PC." This can happen with new BETA installers before Windows has seen enough downloads to recognize the app. Confirm the app name is the Capturizer setup file you downloaded from this page, choose More info, then choose Run anyway if you want to continue.

For best results, we strongly suggest installing VideoLAN VLC and setting up an AI provider API key if you want cloud AI features. More Information

AI API providers

Some transcript, translation, summary, and article features need an AI API key.

Capturizer can use source captions when they are available. For cloud transcription when captions are missing, translation, and higher-quality article generation, you may need to add your own API key in the app settings. OpenAI is the active integrated provider in the current build; the provider list is being expanded for customers who prefer competing services.

API usage is billed separately by the provider. Consumer subscriptions usually do not automatically include developer API usage.

Provider links

Choose the provider you want to use for text, transcription, translation, or voice services.
Create or sign in to that provider's developer account.
Add billing or prepaid credits if needed.
Create an API key and paste it into Capturizer Settings when that provider is supported by your app version.
Do not share your API key with anyone.
