FAQs

Questions people will ask before downloading.

Clear answers for BETA access, Windows support, AI API provider keys, support, and acceptable use.

Is Capturizer an online service?

No. Capturizer is planned as a downloadable and installable Windows application. An online service may be considered in the future, but it is not the product focus at this time.

How long is the BETA good for?

The current installable BETA is good for 30 days. There are no BETA media-count or media-length limits beyond that 30-day window.

Is this only a BETA right now?

Yes. The public site is focused on BETA access only. Release details will be added later when the product is closer to release.

Which Windows versions are supported?

Capturizer supports Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Will there be Mac and Linux versions?

Mac and Linux versions are planned but not yet ready. The current BETA focus is the installable Windows 10 and Windows 11 app.

What does Capturizer create?

Depending on the selected options, it can create video, audio, transcript text, subtitles, articles, Word documents, thumbnails, metadata, and portable phone-ready files.

Do I need an AI API key?

Some features can work from available source captions, but cloud transcription when captions are missing, translation, and higher-quality article generation may need your own AI provider API key. API usage is billed separately by the provider. OpenAI is the active integrated provider in the current build, with additional providers listed for expanded support.

Will transfer results be reported during BETA?

Yes. During BETA, Capturizer reports successful and unsuccessful transfer attempts with non-secret diagnostics so support can troubleshoot failed sources and improve extraction. Not all URLs can be extracted, but most can.

Does it bypass protected videos?

No. Capturizer is intended for pages and videos you are authorized to download. It does not grant rights to any content and must not be used to bypass DRM, paywalls, account restrictions, or technical access controls.
